About 50km from Alicante we have Benidorm.
I only stayed 2 days here and the hotel that I picked(the only one that was available at that time that allowed dogs) was full of old people.
I'm not even exaggerating when I say that my parents would be younger than 95% of the people there.
I saw exactly zero people in the hotel that were younger than me, and I had breakfast, lunch and dinner included so I was seeing pretty much everyone when it was time to eat.
The city itself is nice and worth visiting again.
It has a lot of flash, probably more so than any city in Spain:
-skyscrapers, including the tallest hotel in Europe.
-at least two highly rated Water Parks.
-Terra Mitica - a rollercoaster park that included some rides involving water which I found to be really fun.
I only visited Terra Mitica, which I liked a lot.
But I'd definitely want to go back this summer and try all the water parks and other things that I didn't have time for.
There are some negative parts here though, and of course they couldn't hide from my vigilant eyes: the flashy parts(water parks, etc) are only opened June-September(not even full month of June and September).
Why?!?!?!
Probably because there aren't too many tourists outside of that but still...
In June-September it's really really hot here. 36+ celsius.
I'd rather use the parks in May, September, October, November than in July and August.
So for that reason I couldn't like it more than Palma, without those nice attractions the city losses most of its charm for most of the year.
